International Education Programs (IEP) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) Extension, has one of the largest and most successful international programs in the USA. Each year, IEP welcomes over 4,000 international students from over 40 countries.
UCR has been offering high quality programs since 1975, including a multiple-level ESL program, TESOL programs, academic pathways programs, concurrent enrollment, post-graduate diplomas/certificates, and custom designed programs for short-term groups of visiting students and professionals. Under the general supervision of the Director of Custom Programs, the Custom Programs Manager designs, manages and administers short-term and custom academic programs for university and professional learners from around the world. The manager has functional oversight for program management, strategic planning, and local and international partnership management.
In consultation with the Director, the manager has general oversight for curriculum development and planning of custom programs and their special activities and services. The manager provides program-related student advising needs, including addressing student conduct issues and liaising with foreign escorts as required. The manager oversees scheduling, day-to-day operations and details of program implementation as well as general oversight of instructors and staff, support and development. In consultation with the Director, the position also has responsibilities for international marketing and recruitment and contract negotiations with international partners, including budget management.
Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Advanced degree in business/management or other closely related field. Preferred
Licenses License Requirement Valid Drivers License. Preferred

Experience Requirement 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Minimum of 2 years leading and/or supervising the work of others.
Preferred 3 years of progessively responsible administrative experience with a university-level program. Preferred
Special Condition Requirement Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Drivers License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, if driving a university/personal vehicle for university related business. Required Travel required for university related business, meetings and/or conferences. Preferred

Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
