ThisCustom Business Traineris responsible to ensure the proper training and execution of all Custom Businesses. They will serve as a role model for delivering a best in class customer experience with a focus on The Creator's Studio, Custom Framing, Sewing Studio, JOANN's Custom Shop, Gift Cards, Instore demos and any future custom businesses. Strong follow-up skills, the ability to drive efficient performance through accountability, and leading with a sense of urgency are vital to this position.
The Custom Business Trainer's primary responsibilities will be to train store teams on the expectations of the customer experience through these specialized services that provide inspiration and creativity and build brand loyalty for the lifetime of the customer.
Manages store training schedules in partnership with SSC, DM's, RVP's and stores.
Lead, teach and direct Store Managers in the planning, development, and execution of sales plans and objectives to ensure achievement of sales, margin and profitability in the custom business areas.
Lead all teams to provide a best in class Custom Business experience; advise on handbooks and training tools for programs. Ensure Custom Business programs are implemented and adhered to in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Be empowered to inspire, motivate, and build trust, loyalty and support from others to strive toward shared goals.
Ability to work varying days and hours, including weekends, based on business needs. Ability to travel with overnight stays (50%+).
Required: 5 years retail experience, preferably with JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores.
Preferred: 2 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred: 5 - 7 years field experience including training, merchandising and store opening.
Experience is strongly preferred in all current JOANN stores systems (i.e. POS, jClass, Life Saver, WFM, Retail Store, etc.).
Intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Apps.
Knowledgeable in a variety of software products that have the potential to meet business needs.
Valid driver's license and adequate automobile insurance.
Ability to relocate required for promotion.
