The Department of Housing & Food Services employs approximately 1,500 full-time, part-time and student staff who work in Residential Life, UW Dining, Student and Financial Services, Communications and Marketing, Human Resources, Facilities Services and Information Technology

Supervise Custodian Supervisor 1, Custodian Lead and Custodians. Directs Night Team Custodial Program, focusing on Dining Location and Childcare Center cleaning, while dispatching custodial teams as needed within HFS Facilities.
Description of Duties
Perform the duties of the Custodian Supervisor I.
Determine staffing needs for buildings in consideration of the building occupancy. Establish appropriate staffing to prepare the residence halls and food service areas for the customer; oversee activities in assigned area of responsibility.
Prepare detailed cleaning programs for HFS dining facilities and UW childcare facility.
Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies and machinery.
Participate in budgeting and planning for staffing, supplies and equipment.
Inspect assigned areas and take action to correct areas that are not in compliance.
Participate in the development and implementation of departmental training for employees.
Monitor labor and materials expenditures, recommending corrective action as indicated.
Coordinate provision of custodial services with other departments.
Prepare a variety of reports such as analyses of custodial workloads, service requirements, and employee job performance.
Perform related duties as required.
Three years of experience in custodial or general maintenance work, including two years of experience as a Custodian Supervisor 1.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute for required qualifications.

Possession of a valid State of Washington Driver's License is required.
Infrequent attendance at meetings and trainings during the day shift required.
Must be able to work beyond the standard work week occasionally to meet operational needs.
This position will work a Monday Friday, 9:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. schedule.
The salary range is $3437-4610/month + benefits.
