The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49.00 will be charged for fingerprinting.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provide assistance to the custodial staff during the summer for deep cleaning procedures in order to have the schools ready before the beginning of the next school year.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Works in a summer shift, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday

Schools with summer school, professional development classes and various camps will follow the school's regular work shift as follow:

Elementary School: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. / 2:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Middle School: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. / 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

High School: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

  • Works specific tasks associated with summer deep cleaning, such as:

  • High dusting, low dusting,

  • Cleaning glass windows,

  • Clean white boards

  • Clean window blinds

  • Clean students desks, tables and counters and sinks

  • Remove tape and staples from the walls

  • Clean lockers

  • Dust mop and wet mop floors

  • Vacuum carpets

  • Clean and disinfect bathroom toilets, urinals, walls and floors

  • Operate carpet extractors (after training)

  • Operates low speed buffers (after training)

  • Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • None

GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • General experience in cleaning work.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.

  • Skill in the use of custodial materials and chemicals.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions and operate custodial equipment; read, speak, and write English is strongly preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Able to stand and walk without restrictions; lift 50 pounds; maneuver stairs, ramps; reach, grasp, handle and grip; stoop/bend and squatting; lift and carry objects, and operate medium weight cleaning equipment such as vacuum and floor buffer.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To work collaboratively with multiple campuses and departments regarding requests, processing, and administration of seasonal and temporary employees and independent contractors in a professional and timely manner. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Administer processing for seasonal/temporary employment processes to comply with all district, state, and federal regulations. * Process and monitor all requests to ensure timely processing, collaborating with departments/campuses to obtain required information to complete request in timely fashion. * Respond to inquiries and/or calls to provide information and/or direction and ensure prompt customer service. * Maintain and execute highest level of confidentiality regarding district information. * Maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems. * Maintain up to date tracking on processing with various formats including but not limited to; google sheets and excel sheets. * Serve as back up support for Substitute Specialist. * Work cross-functionally throughout the HR department * Assist with drafting contracts and obtaining approval signatures for independent contractors. * Analyze, design and execute systems and procedures within the department for process improvement * Compile, maintain seasonal/temporary employee, and independent contractor files/records to provide an up-to- date reference trail and/or complying with all federal/state/district regulations. * Maintain up to date tracking on processing with various formats including but not limited to Google sheets and excel sheets. * Assist with orientation sessions and training materials for substitutes and seasonal/temporary employees. * Exercise discretion in reviewing criminal history records, including background checks to determine eligibility for hiring new employees. * May serve as backup for other HR employees. Respond to inquiries and/or calls to provide information and/or direction and ensure prompt customer service. * Coordinate annual processes for distribution and completion of letters of reasonable assurance for seasonal employees. * Provide administrative support to the Director of Support Services Staffing & Employee Relations including but not limited to: filing, mail and postage, employee files, drafting of memos and general communication. * Responsible for maintaining temporary employee handbook. * Demonstrates regular and prompt attendance. * Perform other duties as assigned. GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES Education/Certification/Experience: * Graduation from an accredited high school or GED required. * Bilingual/Spanish preferred. * Experience in human resources or payroll related experience, preferably in public education. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Knowledge of file maintenance; school district organization, operations, and administrative policies, preferred. * Skill in written and verbal communication and organization. * Ability to type and use current technology software and programs such as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Sharepoint); quickly data mine, create reports, make presentations, streamline procedures, and perform detailed oriented tasks and learn database programs. Mental/Physical/Environmental Demands * Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. * Frequently communicates with other employees or public.
