The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49.00 will be charged for fingerprinting.
Provide assistance to the custodial staff during the summer for deep cleaning procedures in order to have the schools ready before the beginning of the next school year.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Schools with summer school, professional development classes and various camps will follow the school's regular work shift as follow:
Elementary School: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. / 2:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Middle School: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. / 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
High School: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Works specific tasks associated with summer deep cleaning, such as:
High dusting, low dusting,
Cleaning glass windows,
Clean white boards
Clean window blinds
Clean students desks, tables and counters and sinks
Remove tape and staples from the walls
Dust mop and wet mop floors
Clean and disinfect bathroom toilets, urinals, walls and floors
Operate carpet extractors (after training)
Operates low speed buffers (after training)
Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
Perform other duties as assigned.
GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
Skill in the use of custodial materials and chemicals.
Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions and operate custodial equipment; read, speak, and write English is strongly preferred.
