Job Duties:

  • Cleans and maintains building facilities including classrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, teacher work rooms, library/media rooms, gymnasiums, lunchrooms, nurses' rooms, stages and lobby/receptionist areas.

  • Performs the necessary room set-ups for scheduled meetings and events (including daily cafeteria set-up).

  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors using cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment.

  • Cleans and/or polishes walls, ceilings, windows, and building fixtures and whiteboards.

  • Cleans entryways, hallways, door mats, and door glass daily.

  • Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures, baseboards, student desks and other equipment.

  • Gathers and empties trash.

  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms daily.

  • Cleans and services cleaning equipment daily and as needed.

  • Applies wax or sealers to wood or concrete floors as directed by District Facilities

  • Assists in building security, locking and unlocking of doors and gates.

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb and filter changes

  • Notifies Campus Facility Manager or Custodial Supervisor of the need to order materials/supplies, need for major repairs, or additions to building operating systems (Energy Management., Schooldude, etc.)

  • Ability to operate and mechanical understanding of the following machines, tools, and other special equipment and supplies used to perform job duties: hand tools, small power tools, ladder, back pack and upright vacuum, floor buffer, cleaning and polishing chemicals, wheeled utility cart, & moving equipment.

  • Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations and Safety Data Sheets required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. Two years of prior experience in custodial cleaning, preferably in a school setting. Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and products.

Work Hours: 11AM - 7:30PM; Monday-Friday.

Starting Pay Rate: $11.00 per hour

The FBSI will work with the FBSL (Fortive System Business Leader) to manage the tactical execution of kaizens, visual management, daily management, and 5S. In this position you will have the rewarding opportunity to work with and train others, and cultivate the mindset of continuous improvement throughout PacSci! There will be a lot of time "hands on" on the production floor. A. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensure effective Daily Management and help with developing better reporting structure. 2. Help develop training matrix and optimum utilization of associates. Aid in cross-training plans and implementation. 3. Utilize relevant coaching and mentoring opportunities for hourly associates. 4. Learn the application and implementation of FBS (Fortive Business System) tools within the assigned cell or cells. 5. Learn, develop and implement standard work documentation and work flow in designated manufacturing cells. 6. Participate in waste elimination projects in designated work cells. 7. Promote & facilitate the establishment of FBS tools and conduct on-site workshops and kaizens applying them. 8. Observe flow of work and information to identify improvement priorities. 9. Learn then develop other on-site associates in the area of FBS tools and methods. 10. Assist in driving "best practices" in all areas of responsibility. 11. There may be opportunity for domestic travel. B. Education Required: 1. BS Program in Business, Management or Engineering 2. Knowledge of production processes in a lean manufacturing a plus. C. Experience Required: 1. Excellent problem solving skills 2. Ability to work with cross-functional teams to complete projects 3. Excellent verbal and written communication and effective facilitation skills D. Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to stand on your feet daily 2. Ability to lift up to 20lbs 3.
