Job Summary/Purpose:

Supervises and assists the Custodians in his/her facility to keep the building in a clean, safe and healthy condition so that there are no interruptions to the educational process. Assists Custodial Manager and Custodial Foreman in the organization, planning, coordination, scheduling, monitoring, training, evaluating, disciplining and counseling of the building's custodial staff and projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• High school diploma or an acceptable amount of specialized training and experience.

Knowledge/Skills

Working knowledge of the equipment, tools, and materials used in custodial services work.

Able to supervise and work cooperatively with a wide variety of people; fellow co-workers, building level teaching staff, Administrators and others with whom he/she comes in contact. Able to comprehend and follow oral and/or written instructions. Able to learn from direct training and practical experience.

Experience

Possesses practical experience with an assortment of chemicals, machines, and equipment used in custodial services function. Some experience in custodial services preferred: examples- health/hospital facility cleaning; contracted cleaning company; custodial equipment cleaning supply sales.

Salary: $18.32
