Custodian

The Building Maintenance Department is seeking a Full Time Custodian. The starting salary for this position will be $16.00-$17.51 per hour, depending on experience.

This position is on the evening shift. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 12a.m. (midnight). Benefits include medical insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and retirement.

We are seeking a hard-working individual with consistent attendance who can listen and follow directions and be self-motivated to complete assigned tasks with safety as a priority. Knowledge of operating floor buffing equipment; one (1) year commercial janitorial experience; must be able to follow instructions, be self- motivated, and a hard worker. Job Requirements

• Cleans and dusts windows, walls, doors, floors (including removing spots from carpets), water fountains, and furniture; Vacuums rugs and carpets; shampoos carpet when necessary; Cleans restrooms and replaces paper products; Cleans, strips, waxes, and polishes floors as needed and instructed; Empties and cleans waste receptacles and properly disposes of trash; Sweeps, cleans, and mops interior areas of buildings and/or sidewalk and curb areas around buildings; Pick up trash on or around buildings and disposes of it appropriately; Polishes, buffs and wax floors; Performs setup and takedown of tables and chairs; arranges conference rooms for special events; and Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
