Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian Date Posted: 6/11/2024 Location: Dunlap Valley Middle School Date Available: 06/17/2024 Closing Date: Open until filled This position is evenings, Mon-Fri, 5.75 hrs, $16/hr. Includes 1 personal day, paid sick time, and retirement benefits. Reports to: Building Principal Position Objective The Custodian maintains building and grounds in as optimal condition as possible for all stakeholders. Essential Functions:

• Empties trash in all classrooms, bathrooms, office and lounge

• Cleans and disinfects all sinks, toilets, urinals, soap holders, paper towel holders, and toilet dividers

• Cleans all mirrors

• Wet mops bathrooms

• Cleans water fountains

• Vacuums classrooms and mats

• Dust mops hallways and gym floors; use floor machine as needed

• Cleans up after school activities

• Locks doors and windows

• Communicates with head custodian regarding repair/maintenance needs Additional Functions: - Buffs floors as needed

• Dusts rooms, hallways and bathrooms as needed

• Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED Competencies: - Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels Working conditions

• Mental Demands: calculating, comparing, evaluation, interpreting, organizing, consulting, analyzing, planning, documenting, specifying

• Physical Demands: bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting for prolonged periods of time, standing, walking, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity

• Environmental Conditions: The work is performed primarily indoors; however, outside work is required on occasion. Travel between buildings may be a requirement
