POSITION TITLE: Day Custodian

REPORTS TO: Manager of Buildings and Grounds

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience or Training

High School Diploma or GED certificate; minimum of one (1) year previous custodial and/or maintenance experience

Desired Experience or Training

CDL classified Illinois driver's license to drive school bus; three (3) or more years of previous custodial and/or maintenance experience; equipment maintenance experience; landscaping experience

BASIC FUNCTION:

Perform custodial functions as directed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and maintain classrooms, corridors, and stairs as directed.

• Assist with lawn and ground care.

• Lay out and install supportive fields and courts for Athletic Department.

• Set up bleachers and related athletic equipment.

• Shovel and operate mechanical snow removal equipment.

• Willingness to carryout bus charter assignments.

• Wash exterior glass and other areas as directed.

• Set up for extra-curricular activities.

• Clean cafeteria and lunchroom facilities.

• Assist maintenance personnel as directed.

• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Manager of Buildings and Grounds.
