Major Duties and Responsibilities Benefits Supplemental Questions

Performs custodial duties which includes cleaning rest rooms, kitchen areas, vacuums carpets, scrubs and waxes floors, dusts, washes windows and performs other miscellaneous custodial duties associated with maintaining clean buildings and facilities. Empties trash containers, sweeps parking lots and exterior walkways.

Maintains inventory of all tools and supplies required to perform the duties of the position. Washes dishes, pots, and pans. Move boxes, furniture, and other miscellaneous items from one place to another.

Changes light bulbs. Carries out a continuous effort to improve operations, work processes; and works cooperatively and jointly to provide continuous improvement and customer-driven service. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment and compounds, and their proper uses.


Minimum Educational and Training

Requirements:

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years experience or service.

Physical Requirements:

The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and must be able to distinguish between shades of color.

Builds, manages and leverages relationships with anchor tenants, preferred caterers, and other business partnerships. Proactively monitors all event activity to ensure proper planning and execution of events - including inventory and cash handling procedures. Ensures all relevant Corporate Partnership commitment's are upheld from a food & beverage standpoint. Ensures compliance with all regulations pertaining to health and safety i.e. alcohol serving, safety and food handling from vendors to Civic Center personnel. Partners with all culinary persons working in facilities to ensure high standards, cleanliness and quality. Coordinates activities for part-time personnel in the areas of quick serve 'grab-n-go' and merchandise for scheduling, training, cash handling, inventory controls, and personnel actions required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Flexibility to works weekends, evenings, and holidays and as needed for events. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Committed to a high level of quality, with a strong record of streamlining operations and improving service. A leader with proven skills rallying a team to achieve highest potential in a start up venture - or change in operation. Strong business acumen with proven skills in cash and inventory management. Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, Email and Internet - Lotus Notes experience helpful. Skills in handling conflicting deadlines and prioritize.
