Resume or Job Application: A detailed resume outlining the candidate's work experience, skills, and education. Cover Letter: A cover letter expressing the candidate's interest in the position and highlighting relevant experience. Proof of Eligibility to Work in the U.S.: Documents such as a U.S. passport, Social Security card, or other acceptable forms of identification as required by the I-9 form. Custodial Experience and References: Documentation of previous custodial work experience, including references from past employers. Work Authorization for Non-U.S. Citizens: For candidates who are not U.S. citizens, appropriate work authorization documents. Background Check Authorization: Consent for a criminal background check, which is often a requirement for employment in schools (upon being offered the position) Health Records: Pre- employment drug screening Custodial Training Certificates: Any certificates or training documentation related to custodial or maintenance work. Safety Training Certifications: Documentation of any safety training courses completed, especially those related to the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Child Abuse Reporting Mandated Reporter Training: In California, school employees are often mandated reporters for child abuse. Proof of completion of mandated reporter training may be required.

The position requires the availability to work an 8 hour shift beginning from 6AM to 3pm and an 8 hour shift from 12pm to 8PM

Darnall Charter School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodial Lead to join our vibrant school community! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a clean and healthy learning environment for our students and staff. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily cleaning tasks of a custodial crew.

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all classrooms, common areas, restrooms, and the school grounds.

• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.

• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Respond to cleaning emergencies and spills promptly.

• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the custodial team. Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a custodial or building maintenance role.

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) a strong plus.

• Experience supervising a cleaning crew highly preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
