In Delano, we serve over 1,800 students in grades TK-12, while in Lost Hills, we serve almost 400 students in grades K-9 and will grow to serve students through 12th grade over the next four years.

Our students have access to technology in all-grades, from hands-on-STEM learning for younger students in a fully equipped "maker's space" to school-provided laptops for older students. The Academy aims to provide every opportunity for our students that often is not found in public or charter schools, including the ability to graduate from high school with a free Associate Degree. Through a unique partnership with Bakersfield College, our students enroll in college classes starting in 9th grade and complete all their A-G requirements, in addition to their AS Degree requirements over the course of four years. In addition, all graduates are eligible to earn a four-year renewable college scholarship through the generous support of Lynda and Stewart Resnick.

A day in the life at Wonderful:

The Custodian works with other members of the cleaning or custodial team to ensure the school is a clean and safe environment in which children can learn.

Facilities and Grounds: Ensure classrooms, offices, restrooms, dining areas and campus grounds are routinely cleaned
Cleaning may include, but is not limited to, removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, buffing, cleaning carpets, washing windows scrubbing floors and ceilings, and sanitizing restrooms
Safety: Meet all local, state and federal sanitation guidelines; conduct emergency cleanup service; responsible for securing campus grounds at all times
Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks in keeping assigned areas safe and operational; occasionally perform routine grounds maintenance functions
Special Events: Move and arrange furniture and equipment in preparing multipurpose rooms or classrooms for special events or meetings
Communication: Maintain accurate files and records, and prepare reports as needed; understand and carry out oral and written directions

Job Summary: Basic Level Mechanic position. Employee works for the Shop Manager. Performs work in maintenance, inspection and repair of farm equipment and vehicles. A day in the life at Wonderful: We are seeking a School Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our School-Based Health Centers and Health and Wellness Centers. This role requires regular travel between our Student Wellness Centers and our Health and Wellness Centers clinic locations in the Central Valley. For the right candidate, this will provide an incredible opportunity to build, develop and foster collaboration among a team that is evolving a new model for world-class health and wellness that can have an immensely positive impact for underserved and vulnerable populations. Under general supervision of Senior Director of Clinic Operations, the School LVN will be responsible to manage the COVID-19 response at the schools and will be trained on how to manage COVID-related incidents, oversee tracking, conduct reporting, and provide direction to employees and managers for COVID-19 testing, quarantine measures, vaccination, and safe return-to-school and return-to-work protocols. The successful candidate will have a meticulous attention to detail, enjoy an ever-changing environment, and enjoy creating streamlined processes while patient-centered. The role will also support the Health and Wellness Centers and clinical leadership with various duties. This individual will play an integral role in keeping The Wonderful Company's employees safe and healthy. Essential duties and responsibilities: * The role will be part of a care coordination team supporting general care processes alongside the providers. * Obtain appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care needs * Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response. Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health care. * Coordinate and schedule same-day and walk-in appointments on the provider schedules * Utilize standing orders, triage protocols, and algorithms appropriately * Monitor patient flow: ensure patients receive all recommended services in a timely manner. * As needed, perform other nursing functions as assigned. Assist providers with special procedures as needed. * Provide nursing services including: administration of medications, immunizations and injections to patients as directed by the providers; initiation of referrals to other providers and community health resources. * Assists provider with examination and procedures as requested. Reassures and comforts patients who are apprehensive about pending examinations and treatment; provide health instruction to patients following examinations * Document patient's current medication and vaccination lists, including name(s) of medications, dosages, frequency, duration and start date * Perform phlebotomy, administers medications and treatment as prescribed through written Provider orders, and documents procedures in patient's electronic medical record. * Evaluates the effectiveness of the care given by interdisciplinary care team and identifies problems making timely recommendations for their solution * Manage COVID-related FAQs from students and school staff * Document and track all cases from start to finish * Field and manage all COVID-19 response by serving as the centralized point-of-contact * Complete, route and follow up on all COVID-19 screening forms and inquiries * Compile reports and conduct analyses as requested * Provide employees with approved information about testing, quarantine, and return-to-work procedures * Maintain frequent contact with school administration by communicating COVID-19 student and employee status updates * Work closely with Human Resources and Leave of Absence Administrator to ensure timecard accuracy under applicable legislation for school employees * Conduct contact tracing and inform close contacts about potential exposure, as needed * Work with Clinic leadership regarding quarantine and return-to-school and return-to-work dates * Collect COVID-19 Self-Attestation Forms for in-person meetings and events * Coordinate with school employees and Wonderful Aviation. Collect appropriate paperwork and negative test results and notify aviation of "clear to fly" status ahead of scheduled flight (for school employees as needed) * Escalate pertinent issues to clinic management and school administration * Provide regular updates to clinic leadership and school leaders * Manage and maintain internal procedure documents * Stay up-to-date on school protocols and CDC guidelines * Track and file COVID19-related documents in the medical section of the employee's personnel file.
