JOB DESCRIPTION:

To move and deliver furniture and equipment wherever needed throughout the District. This position will entail some extended hours, evenings, and weekends.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist repair crew when necessary.

• Responsible for seeing that all work schedules are carried out as assigned by moving lead.

• Move furniture, equipment and other items as assigned.

• Assist in the set-up of special District events such as graduation ceremonies, Board meetings, community meetings, etc.

• Assume the responsibilities of a custodian when necessary.

• Respond to emergency calls as needed and be on-call/stand-by as assigned by supervisor.

• Maintain confidentiality.

• Regular attendance.

• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• Safe driving record

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• Valid High School Diploma, GED, or related experience

• Valid Texas Driver's License

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Organizational skills

• Communication skills

• Must be able to operate all vehicles and some equipment belonging to Custodial

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent District travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting and carrying. Lift and transport heavy objects such as desks, chairs, supplies and equipment depending on job assignment.
