Custodial Foreman

"Primary Purpose

Provide leadership and assistance to Coordinator of Custodial Services in supervising custodial employees in maintaining the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety, so that full educational use of the building can be obtained. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure
High school diploma or GED
Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred
Ability to manage personnel
Extensive knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning supplies
Experience
Experience in all phases of custodial work.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Perform building inspection of all district facilities for cleanliness and sanitation.
Coordinate the training of all new and existing custodial employees.
Upgrade new cleaning techniques for existing employees.
Work with lead and assistant lead custodians in supervising facility.
Travel to schools to help organize cleaning at the direction of the principal, Operations Supervisor, and Director of Maintenance.
Assist the Coordinator of Custodial Services in collecting and maintaining all necessary forms and records.
Assist the Operations Supervisor with inventory and inspection of custodial equipment and supplies.
Review facility rental and campus use calendars and schedule custodial support as required.
Work in cooperation with Maintenance Supervisors in maintaining the district's preventive maintenance, IPM, and energy management programs.
Be available for after-hours demands.
Evaluate job performance of employees to ensure department effectiveness.
Participate in district Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by district Incident Commander or designee.

Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to work night shift; maintain emotional control at all times
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Walking, standing, or using custodial equipment 8 hours per day; working with custodians, utilizing various types of machinery; exposure to chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants; ability to work a flexible schedule.

Term: 230 days
