Description

Our office located in White Bear Lake, MN is looking for a Curtain Wall Structural Engineer Intern. We are looking for a dedicated engineer with the ability to provide efficient and detailed work. This position will be responsible for the development of project structural analysis reports by utilizing the most current version of AutoCAD, RISA and MathCAD.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering within 1.5 years

  • 0-3 years minimum experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Summary: This Software Developer will work with a highly-integrated team in a .NET C# or in an embedded linux development role with today's latest software technologies. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in design and development of building automation controls with Trane commercial. Projects may include: * Construction or improving development tools & infrastructure * Prototyping for New Technology Process (NTP) projects * New feature enhancement of existing controls platforms Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: * Software Construction – Understand construction fundamentals; minimize complexity, anticipate change, plan for verification. Make appropriate use of planning, modeling, reuse and measurement. * Software Design – Understand and apply generally accepted best practices in design methodology. Understand key issues and use proper techniques for concurrency, event handling, distribution of components, exception handling, etc. Understand and make use of common design patterns. * Peer Reviews and Inspections – Knowledge and use of formal inspection methods. Active participation in design reviews and mentoring of peers in design best practices. * Testing – Understand the role and use of testing throughout the life cycle.
