Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of federal, state, and independent grants. Position is rooted in the operations of the Department of Curriculum & Instruction and the tasks associated with planning, writing, implementing, and monitoring grants that serve in direct support of a student-centered, standards-aligned instructional program.

Supervision: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Researches, writes, and administers federal, state, and independent grant applications

  • Establishes and maintains efficient work processes to manage multiple state and federally funded formula grants; maintains compliance throughout the life cycle of the grants

  • oversees the establishment and maintenance of procedures and record keeping systems in accordance with grant management

  • coordinates grant compliance plans, policies, and procedures for federal and state programs to ensure district compliance

  • Oversees, prepares, and submits reports and other documents to appropriate agencies

  • prepares federal, state, and district reports accurately from raw data

  • Serves as a liaison to nonpublic entities, ensuring the district meets required state and federal proportionate share guidelines

  • Monitors the implementation of grant-related projects to ensure adherence to grant and district-established timelines

  • Coordinates required meetings for federal and state programs

  • Conducts research and collects and analyzes data to inform programming and budgetary decisions

  • Coordinates projects with other curriculum coordinators, program support staff, and building administrators

  • Attends all federal and state program training conferences, as needed

  • Prioritizes multiple tasks, works effectively under stress, meets short deadlines

  • Maintains confidentiality and integrity

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Professional Educator License with a General Administrative endorsement;

  • Five years of successful K-8 teaching;

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university;

  • Experience with grant writing and grant management preferred;

  • Well-versed in spreadsheet applications and data management software;

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Strong background in elementary curriculum, instruction, special education, and bilingual education;

  • Ability to work well in a professional community with high expectations for its students and school;

  • Completion of required training to evaluate teachers;

  • Ability to analyze achievement data to help drive school-wide instructional targets and identify professional development needs;

  • Creativity, flexibility, and high energy level desired;

  • Ability to monitor and addresses personnel concerns promptly and fairly;

  • Demonstrated skills in public and community relations, including the resolution of parent/school conflict;

  • Organizational skills as evidenced by experience;

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;

  • Ability to compose correspondence, reports, and/or other required written materials;

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information;

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries, and/or complaints;

  • Display courtesy, tact, and respect when dealing with others;

  • Ability to react well under pressure, handle, and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent interruptions, and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism;

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision;

  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate files and records;

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.

Salary:

Salary commensurate with experience in the position. Competitive benefits package, including board paid TRS.

Additional Notes

Work Conditions:

12 month work year

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
