Hyatt Regency New Orleans is a 4-Diamond, luxury hotel (1,200 rooms, 200,000 sq. ft. space). The Culinary Administrative Assistant must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Chef and working closely with the culinary team. Duties of this position include but are not limited to maintaining meetings schedules, supporting the purchase process, maintaining an accurate inventory of all supplies and equipment within the department, managing scheduling systems, managing/assisting with Culinary payroll, as well supporting the Executive Chef with food cost and expenses. The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, the ability to learn new computer programs, can multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem solving skills. Organizational skills, computer proficiency, and communication skills are a must.

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Previous restaurant, administrative and hotel experience
Previous purchasing experience a plus
Previous payroll experience a plus
Flexible work schedule to include ability to work some weekend days
Great communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to multi task and has initiative to take on new projects
Ability to work in various computer applications for payroll, purchasing, events reports, property management systems
Degree from accredited university
