Matrix Research Inc. is seeking a well-rounded software engineer with experience in Nvidia CUDA development in our Dayton, OH location to function in the following role:

CUDA Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop software solutions based upon algorithmic requirements, end user needs, and runtime specifications.

  • Adhere to the software development life cycle, including requirements definition, derived implementation, testing, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Fluent in CUDA.

  • Experience with C++, GPGPU, OpenCL, OpenMP, MPI a big plus.

  • Experience with MATLAB a plus.

  • Ability and willingness to learn new software languages (we have projects using Julia, MATLAB, Python).

  • Knowledge and ability to debug coding, compiling, and linking errors.

  • Comfortable with multiple operating systems (we work with Linux, macOS, and Windows), development environments, and debuggers.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance (must be U.S. Citizen).

Position Qualifications * Experience in one or more of the following: * digital signal processing (DSP), * radar measurements and radar signal processing, * remote sensing (synthetic aperture radar (SAR), hyperspectral imaging (HSI), etc.), * image processing, * tracker design and implementation. * Familiarity with programming: * a systems language (such as C and C++) and/or * a high-level language (such Julia, Python, MATLAB), and * willingness to learn others. * A Bachelor's degree (in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related) with two years of experience, or another combination of education and experience. * Applicants must be US citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD security clearance. Desired Qualifications (preferred) * Experience in electromagnetics theory or radio frequency (RF) systems design. * Experience in machine learning, computer vision, digital design, or numerical computing. * Familiarity with Bayesian statistics and probability theory. * Experience with high-performance computing (numerical libraries like Intel MKL, GPGPU libraries such as CUDA, parallel programming libraries like OpenMP, etc.) * Experience with numerical simulations. * Experience or interest in systems demonstrations, field tests, exercises, etc. * Master's or doctorate degree in a technical field. * Eligible to hold a TS/SCI clearance * Current clearance a plus Our Technical Environment We score 12 out of 12 in the Joel Test (https://www.joelonsoftware.com/2000/08/09/the-joel-test-12-steps-to-better-code/).
