Job Description Job Description We are seeking experienced CT / X-RAY Technologists to join our Family We currently have Full-time, Float, Part-Time, and PRN positions available for days and nights. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. As an integral part of our healthcare services, this role focuses on providing high-quality computed tomography and X-ray imaging to support the diagnostic needs of our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a patient-centric approach, and a commitment to excellence in medical imaging.

Duties Operate CT (Computed Tomography) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Follow physician orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and their coworkers.

Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Position patients correctly to get the best imaging results while ensuring their safety. Select proper imaging techniques and adjust the CT machine to optimize the quality of the scan.

Administer contrast media orally or intravenously as required, following strict protocols to avoid complications. Monitor patients during the scan, being alert to any signs of distress or complications. Review and evaluate the images to determine if additional images are needed.

Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all procedures completed and any issues encountered during the scan. Perform routine maintenance checks on CT equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly, reporting any malfunctions or inconsistencies. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to discuss diagnostic imaging and to refine scanning protocols.

Implement radiation safety measures to minimize exposure to patient and staff. Assist in the development and improvement of CT scanning protocols and procedures. Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in CT technology and diagnostic techniques. Knowledge of PACS systems and related technology Assist with cross departmental duties as needed Job Requirements Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State licensure to perform radiographic procedures (if required by the state) Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program

  • Prior experience in CT imaging preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficient with CT equipment and able to perform routine maintenance Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and protocols Ability to position patients properly for CT scans Familiarity with contrast materials and ability to administer them as needed Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy Excellent patient care and communication skills
