The CTS Product Development team is hiring a Principal Product Manager to join the Feed Products team in a leadership role for one or more products and serves as a trusted authority to contribute to the product roadmap and alignment to company-wide strategies. The Feed Products teams are responsible for releasing new content and enhancing existing content across multiple delivery channels and optimized data models for client consumption in local and hosted environments. This group also drives larger cross-product initiatives that are instrumental to innovating the product line. This team partners closely with Strategy, Engineering, Sales, and Content to understand, prioritize, and deliver high quality connected data sets that address and enhance our clients' workflows in a timely and efficient manner.

The Principal Product Manager is expected to become an expert in clients' data needs, CTS products and delivery technologies, iterative development processes (Agile) and SDLCs, as well as FactSet's internal publishing processes. You will be expected to lead and drive projects forward, expand the Data Feeds client base and help evolve the product line by championing the larger CTS initiative to provide the most comprehensive connected content across various flexible delivery methods including relational databases, APIs, and configurable end points.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a trusted authority to contribute to the data feed products roadmap and alignment to company-wide and SBU-specific strategies

  • Oversees the development of various data feed releases of FactSet and third-party content sets across multiple CTS delivery mechanisms to address client workflows

  • Directs at least one strategic initiative and partners with cross functional teams to execute discovery, build roadmap, and oversee execution of related projects.

  • Adhere to high standards of product management best practices, work quality, iterative and agile development, and the support of overall performance and career development for direct and indirect reports

  • Proactively communicate with team members, stakeholders, management, and direct and indirect reports on projects/initiatives/policies that affect the team, product and business.

  • Influences the continuous improvement of product/content quality tools, infrastructure, and process improvements

  • Establishes and builds strong relationships directly with Engineering, Strategy, and Content to align development goals and evolve the internal publishing model to offer more stable and scalable solutions to clients

  • May lead to management opportunities in the future.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors' degree with at least 10 years relevant experience

  • Proven leadership for a larger product suite and/or content sets

  • Demonstrated understanding of overall company strategy and ability to lead Product/Content development accordingly

  • Expertise with relational database theory, data modeling, query languages such as SQL, and programming languages like R or Python

  • Knowledge of core, portfolio/benchmark and/or premium/alternative data sets, with strong data analytics skills

  • Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and communication skills

  • Proven track record in directing and managing a complete development project from inception to release using iterative development, gathering user feedback and keeping all stakeholders aware of status

Desired Attributes:

  • Proven leadership for a larger product suite and/or content sets

  • Demonstrated understanding of overall company strategy and ability to lead Product/ Content development accordingly

  • Experience with ETL processes and consuming/analyzing large amounts of data using various database technologies including relational databases

  • Interest in learning new technologies and how multiple systems work together

  • Ability to build relationships with teams across FactSet, and collaborate effectively across regions

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture but also can execute tactical day-to-day tasks and projects

  • Ability to manage team of teams working on multiple projects with shifting priorities

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Our solutions portfolio includes Standard DataFeeds, Data Exploration, OnDemand (API), Views, Cornerstone, Exchange DataFeeds, Benchmark Feeds, the Open:FactSet Marketplace, Quantopian Enterprise, and other non-workstation initiatives. The CTS Feed Products team is looking for a Product Specialist to successfully support and contribute to the release of , manage and release features and new enhancements to the Benchmark DataFfeed product line. Benchmark DataFfeeds (BDF) is designed to provide flexible and timely delivery of Index data through standardized packaging that allows seamless symbology linking and data item mapping for defined client workflows. BDF integrates benchmark data from many different providers across both equity and fixed income to provide data on both an index and constituent level basis. In this role, you will work closely with a broadly distributed group of Content, Product, Strategy, Sales & Support, and Engineering team members across various CTS departments focusing on delivering the market leading Benchmark solution.
