We are looking for a talented Apprentice to join our team specializing in Maintenance for our Cummins Turbo Plant in Ladson, South Carolina.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
As part of a training or development program, learns and develops required skills in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance.
Apprentice will be required to successfully complete, and document specified classes and a minimum quantity of on-the-job training hours.
Learns and understand the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
Performs supervised work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
In accordance with the program of study makes appropriate progress necessary to build basic skills and knowledge required to meet the job qualifications.
Assists with preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities.
Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Minimal or no work experience required.
PLC / Ladder diagrams / Rockwell platform in particular Industrial robotics (Fanuc / Universal Robots) Machine Vision systems (Cognex / Keyence) Barcode scanning equipment PC based control systems Logical problem-solving skills Intermediate to advanced mechanical aptitude and experience also a bonus.
Must have completed 1 year of on-the-job training within the CTP maintenance department apprenticeship program.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
