At Hartman, we deliver powerful business outcomes by leveraging technology strategy as a game-changer for our clients.SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, Information Technology (IT) professional with expertise in designing and administering server and network systems, storage solutions, virtual environments, Windows and networking environments, etc., to work with our senior team of IT and business professionals on various IT assessment, strategic technology planning and project implementation engagements for our mid-Atlantic, mid-market clients. Candidates must be able to provide network architecture, evaluation and planning services to our customers, coupled with a strong business perspective in order to provide balanced advisory services with respect to business impact, risk, opportunity, etc. in relation to any recommendation we might make.Responsibilities
  • Lead the Infrastructure Evaluation portion of our IT assessments. Research and provide data to the team in order to answer questions such as: Is the network appropriate to meet the current and future business needs of the company? Is it scalable? What risks are associated with the current infrastructure? Does the infrastructure support the companies desired security posture?
  • Implement appropriate technical solutions, actively seeking ways to leverage the integration of business processes with applicable emerging technologies in order to improve and streamline operations and services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Promote a sustainable technology framework and coordinate related systems.
  • Assume project management responsibilities on assigned projects that require research, data collection, critical thinking, technical expertise, and a high level of independence in support of long rangeplanning activities.
  • Manage network and server infrastructure in client environments ensuring the environment is properly maintained and proactively monitored to ensure adequate capacity to support business needs.
Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years progressively responsible, related experience and enthusiasm for working in a consulting role for multiple clients desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and high volume workload. Strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • Security-minded approach to solution design and support.
  • Initiative to identify and communicate opportunities to contribute additional value to existing and prospective clients.
  • Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
  • Broad and deep technical skills in the following areas: Expertise in Microsoft server technologies, including Active Directory and Terminal Services virtualization experience on private (VMWare) and public (AWS, Azure, GCP) cloud platforms
  • Data storage experience (SAN, NAS, Object)
  • Proficiency in managing and supporting end-user computing platforms
  • Solid understanding of database support and maintenance
  • Network skills including support of a WAN infrastructure with remote users and facilities
  • Experience with VoIP phone systems
EducationEquivalent of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Business/Finance is preferred

This is a client facing role responsible for growth of Hartman Executive Advisors (HEA) revenues for a portfolio of clients within the Higher Education sector.  The Strategic IT Executive accomplishes role goals through active strategic engagement with clients, identifying and advising on business innovation opportunities and developing a reputation as a thought leader. This role leads client engagements supported by team of CIOs within a defined industry or range of industries and may function as the CIO and/or CM in certain client engagements.  The Strategic IT Executive role reports directly to the Practice Area Leader.<br /> <br /> <u>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</u> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Lead and manage profitable industry growth initiatives</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Generate leads and engage in business development activities, such as proposal development, to secure new clients</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensure client engagement strategy is business focused and specific to industry trends and needs</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Actively engage in client onboarding to ensure successful handoff from business development to engagement team</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Oversee existing client relationships, including strategic planning, review content of deliverables, and identifying growth opportunities</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Forecast industry client revenue</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Demonstrate thought leadership in industry space, including speaking engagements, webinars, panel discussions and networking events</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Join and be an active member of relevant associations and organizations that provide education and networking in the industry</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Educate and develop Hartman team members to gain experience in industry</li> </ul>  <br /> <u>Qualifications:</u> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">10+ years industry expertise in Higher Education</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">5+ experience in sales and/or developing client relationships</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA desirable</li> </ul> <strong>***This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits and can be worked primarily remotely, however may have to be on site as needed.  We do not provide employment sponsorship.</strong><br /> <br />   Hartman Executive Advisors Timonium Maryland
