LHTI provides leadership and facilitation in the adoption and development of innovative technologies to improve the learning experience, enhance healthcare delivery, strengthen clinical practice, and promote industry advancement. Our technology support services team plays a crucial role in delivering and supporting the technology ecosystem that enables our college to meet these goals and build better futures. As an Information Technology Support Analyst, Senior based at our new Gilbert University Building location (92 W Vaughn Ave, Gilbert, AZ 85233), you will be responsible for providing technology support to our customers, assisting with setup and operation of simulation technology for our new BSN-IH program, as well as performing various systems administration tasks behind the scenes. You will also have the opportunity to work on projects aimed at making our technology environment easier to use and more secure. This position will have a regular Monday through Friday work schedule, but will require some flexibility to accommodate server patching, special events/projects, and unexpected system outages. Occasional in-state travel to our Phoenix Biomedical Campus and to the Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson will be required. Duties & Responsibilities * Analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve reported problems with software, equipment, and network connections. * Deliver, set up, and configure Windows and Mac systems, peripherals, mobile devices, audio/visual, and other technology items. * Assist faculty and staff with AV needs and maintain all AV equipment for the Gilbert location. * Become proficient with the setup and use of simulation manikins, accessories, and software. * Regularly test and apply patches/updates to operating systems, applications, and hardware firmware. * Ensure that any network-attached devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices and printers are in compliance with university, college, and other applicable IT security policy standards. * Develop and maintain documentation of system configuration and changes, operational procedures, and other processes. * Repair and recover from unexpected hardware or software failures. * Perform system performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. * Co-administer Active Directory domain with physical and virtual servers. Manage user accounts, groups, computer objects, and group policies, and establish and maintain standards for the assignment of permissions and other actions. * Take part in the designing, planning, and completion of various infrastructure optimization projects such as migrating physical servers to virtual machines; retiring servers, services, and custom-built applications and moving objects from college to enterprise AD domain. * Provide consulting assistance to team members and assist with escalated technical incidents whenever necessary. * Participate in various special interest groups across campus to enhance knowledge and collaborate on IT initiatives relevant to the college and position, and various other duties or projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Ability to work effectively as a positive and engaged member of a high performing and collaborative team of professionals. * Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of administrators, faculty, staff, and students. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and carry out complex technology-based projects. * Ability to quickly learn and master diverse and emerging technologies and techniques. * Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex, fast-paced situations. * Advanced knowledge of AV equipment, computer networks, and remote troubleshooting techniques. * Ability to set up, use, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac OS X based clients in a Windows Active Directory domain. * Knowledge of and ability and support the following Microsoft technologies: AD, DFS, DNS, group policies, Hyper-V, IIS, and SQL and Windows Server. * Knowledge of information security best practices and regulatory compliance areas such as HIPAA, FERPA, and PCI, and how they affect the installation, configuration, use, and support of information technology resources. Preferred Qualifications * Prior work experience with the installation, usage, and support of desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat; EndNote/Reference Manager; Atlas.ti/SAS/SPSS/STATA; Sophos Endpoint; Zoom. * Prior experience working in a healthcare simulation center. * Experience setting up systems for health monitoring, software updating, remote support, and mobile device management. * Experience supporting research investigators, including the support of specialized equipment, software, and sensitive data. * Familiarity with project tracking/project management solutions such as Basecamp, Jira, Redbooth, etc. * Passion for sharing information and new technology with others. * Desire to continuously learn and improve skills and abilities related to the position.
