Qualifications
RI Teacher Certification: CTE Engineering or certificate eligible
Background in civil engineering and/or environmental engineering preferred
Teaching experience preferred
Master's degree preferred
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Develop and implement an effective Pre-Engineering program, including theory and labs that facilitate meaningful learning in the core competencies of the curriculum
Maintain student record, including grades, attendance, and performance measures that assess and improve student learning
Foster a safe and productive learning environment
Facilitate program advisory board meetings
Support student career readiness and Work-Based Learning experiences
Maintain knowledge of best practices in and current industry standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Understanding Required
Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Know and understand industry recognized credentials and industry standards
