Qualifications

• RI Teacher Certification PK-12

• Secondary teaching experience preferred

• Master's degree preferred

• Experience teaching in a CTE: Education/Childcare Program or experience teaching child/human development at the secondary level preferred

• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective Education/Childcare program, including theory and labs that facilitate meaningful learning in the core competencies of the curriculum

• Maintain student record, including grades, attendance, and performance measures that assess and improve student learning

• Foster a safe and productive learning environment

• Facilitate program advisory board meetings

• Support student career readiness and Work-Based Learning experiences

• Maintain knowledge of best practices in and current industry standards

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, families, and colleagues

• Know and understand industry recognized credentials and industry standards
