The Wealth Management Middle Office Administrator I is a primary point of contact supporting our Private Client, Institutional Trust, Corporate Trust and Family Office service offerings within the Commerce Trust Company. The primary focus is servicing and processing the Onboarding of New Accounts, ongoing account administration and account terminations for Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, and Real Estate Administrators. The Middle Office Admin I also serves as a liaison between the Advisors and other departments of the Trust Company including Operations, Audit, Compliance, Legal and Tax. This position plays a key role in how new customers form their first and ongoing impressions of the Trust Company. This requires excellent relationship building skills, critical thinking, and the ability to make sound and prudent judgment on a simple perception of a situation. This role also requires excellent attention to detail along with a broad range of industry knowledge including current taxation and compliance regulations.

The Middle Office Associate performs critical and recurring processes related to:

  • Customer Service the primary focus is building and maintaining relationships with Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, Real Estate, and Contra Custodian Administrators and ensuring a timely, complete and accurate processing. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand the ultimate goals of the advisors and to deliver support and resolutions that meets those goals.

  • Account Onboarding- work closely with and provide customer service for Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, Real Estate, and Contra Custodian Administrators to facilitate the onboarding of new. Responsible for Processing and/or Quality Review of New Accounts, Asset Movement to ensure all compliance requirements have been met and all processing and coding is complete, timely, and accurate.

  • Administration responsible for account maintenance and termination, ensure appropriate controls are in place for all processes related to account onboarding, maintenance and termination; responsible for identifying accounts with missing requirements, monitoring accounts that are unfunded and collaborating with the Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, Real Estate, and Contra Custodian Administrators towards the resolution of outstanding issues. Driving process improvements, maintaining documentation, and assisting with projects and testing.

  • Team work closely with other support teams within the Trust Company to resolve client transactions and with other Middle Office team members to assist/backup during high volumes or absence.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • Two to five years of experience in finance or investment management industry preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to execute

  • Posses strong business acumen and the ability to make timely and sound business recommendations

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills across a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds to help achieve results

  • Ability to resolve problems and identify and drive process improvements
