Overview:

Provide diagnostic C.T. scans for interpretation by radiologist. Assist radiologist and or performing physician in the performance of interventional and special procedures (biopsy, ablation, myelography, arthrography and any other such procedures). Apply principles of radiation safety.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program

  • Certifications: A.R.R.T. registered and CT registry required.

Overview: Directly reports to the Imaging Services Nuclear Medicine manager and Medical Director(s) of the Department of Nuclear Medicine. Responsible for assessing patient's condition, evaluating exam appropriateness and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients. Additional responsibilities include analyzing computer acquired data, archiving images to PACS, performing quality control for all equipment, and adhering to radiation safety standards. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications: * Required Education: Certificate of completion from a formal Nuclear Medicine training program in a degree or certificate program is required. Continuing education credits per NMTCB/ARRT guidelines. * Preferred Education: * Licensure: Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or ARRT. If being hired upon graduation, must obtain licensure within 60 days of employment. * Certifications: Must have a current BLS certification provider card or complete a course within a probationary period.
