VIEW JOBS 12/4/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-03-04T00:00 Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the operation of diagnostic CT and the performance of all CT procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Possess a positive and courteous attitude, and take the initative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data at all times. * Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. * Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all images * Must be able to take call when required. * Must perform quality control. Qualifications Education: * Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred. * Previous experience as a CT-Tech in an acute care environment is preferred Licensure: * Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on Computer Tomography or registry eligible. * BLS Required Skills: * Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. * Knowledge of radiographic examinations as well as procedures that require the use of contrast agents. * Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety. * Knowledge of patient transfers and positioning technique.
