Performscomputed tomography and diagnostic scans designated anatomical areas inaccordance with established practices and procedures. Obtains patient history,explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patient record andfiles. Performs general CT procedures and assists with CT guided IVRprocedures.

Essential Functions
1.Demonstrates theknowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of thepatients served.
2.Performs proceduresto ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectationsand protocols.
3.Displays knowledgeand complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
4.Supports and reportsany identified compliance matters.
5.Participates inhospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety andsatisfaction.
6.Maintainsprofessional development and education for technical competency.
7.Uses standardprecautions, PPE, at all times.
8.Maintains regulatorycompliance and licensure for current position.
9.Attends all KYOneHealth required educational programs as well as all Learn modules.
10. Contributes to theefficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resourcesefficiently.
11. Demonstrates completeworking knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
12. Knowledge and performanceof the Code of Conduct Standards.

Education /Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Graduate of anaccredited school of RadiologicTechnology

  • Possess and maintaincertification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Possess and maintaincertification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) inComputed Tomography (CT) within 1 year of employment or transferring intoposition

  • State of Kentucky Licenserequired.

  • BLS within 30 days ofemployment.

Experience(required and preferred):

  • Previous experience in CT preferred but notessential for all positions.

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 Days, Full Time, 6A-6P The RespiratoryCare Student possesses working knowledge of routine respiratory care andhas displayed age-specific competence in his/her educational program forpediatric (ages 13 months to 11 years), adolescent (ages 12 to 17), adult (ages18 to 65) and geriatric (ages 66 and over) patients. The incumbent conductshimself/herself in a professional manner and is courteous to patients,physicians, visitors, members of the department and all other healthcarepersonnel. The incumbent supports and contributes to departmental productivityand organizational objectives by functioning as an integrated member of therespiratory care team and performs services consistent with his/her scope oflicensure. The incumbent supports and exhibits behaviors consistent with theorganization's mission and values in offering hope and healing to all. Essential Functions 1. Administersnon-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy. 2. Administersoxygen therapy (including implementation of oxygen therapy protocol whereappropriate). 3. Administersaerosolized medication. 4. Administersincentive spirometry. 5. Cleansand reprocesses respiratory therapy equipment. 6. Administersbronchial hygiene and performs chest physiotherapy (including implementation ofbronchial hygiene protocol where appropriate). 7. Performscardiopulmonary resuscitation and manual ventilation during resuscitationattempts and aides in rapid response calls when appropriate. 8. Providespatient, family, staff and physician education. 9. Performs other duties, with the scope of licensure, asassigned. Education /Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred): Theincumbent shall have completed the equivalent of one year of an accreditedrespiratory therapy educational program with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Further, theincumbent shall remain enrolled in said accredited respiratory therapy educationalprogram while maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0 throughout his/her employment asa Respiratory Care Student Practitioner. Note: Educationalprograms that are eligible for accreditation but have not yet achievedaccreditation status meet the educational program standard. Theincumbent shall hold a Limited Mandatory Certificate (license) issued by theKentucky Board of Respiratory Care; licensure must be maintained throughoutemployment as a Respiratory Care Student Practitioner. Theincumbent shall hold a current certificate from the American Heart Associationin Basic Life Support or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Experience(required and preferred): No prior experience in respiratory care isrequired (other than that which has been achieved from clinical rotations inthe incumbent's educational program).
