Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs diagnostic exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment including CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology and Cardiology. Verifies patient identity and reviews patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure.

Interviews patient to obtain, verify or update medical history and assesses risk factors such as medications, pregnancy and/or psychological indicators. Explains procedure to patient, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives and follow-up. Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script.

Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to radiologist. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate. Provides physician-prescribed post care instructions to patients.

Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction. Provides imaging education to residents, student technologists and new employees. Able to take call/standby as required by the department.

May perform duties as a Radiologic Technologist, as needed. [BRASSRING IMPORT 11/21/16] Minimum Qualifications 1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV). 2. Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period. 3.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6 months of hire for employees working in adult setting or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) within 1 year of hire for employees working in a cardiology setting. 4. The plant produces peptones, which are short chain proteins used in the pharmaceutical and microbiology fields. The process technician possesses a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable the individual to work independently to complete assigned tasks and to lead projects. Duties and Responsibilities: General: Primary duties will include: * Support of operations with continuous improvement and problem resolution activities with a heavy emphasis given to cost-saving initiatives. * Development and/or modification of procedures, and leading manufacturing training sessions. * Create product value stream maps for designated products in the Media Base and Fine Chemicals. * Work on customer complaint investigations that apply to the Detroit facility. * Investigate all manufacturing product and process notifications and manufacturing alerts, and determine root cause and corrective action plans. * Actively work on facility Corrective and Preventative actions (CAPA) that affect product quality. * Responsible for coordinating and trending Detroit quality notifications. * Perform lab and pilot scale experiments for process changes. * Hold project meetings. * Prepare and give presentations on data or problem investigations to wide audiences. * Work with off-site Research & Development for analytical testing. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills: * Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) * Strong computer skills, primarily word processing and spreadsheets, Minitab knowledge nice to have * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities * Capable of working within a team environment and within all levels of the organization * Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts desirable Education: BS/BA degree required with a major in a pertinent scientific discipline such as, but not limited to: biology, biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, or medical technology Experience: * Bachelor's degree with 2 – 4 years experience (such as hands on laboratory bench work, validation, process and/or quality controls experience – within a manufacturing environment) in a related industry * Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice) * Familiarity with Six Sigma, validation, and lean manufacturing Primary Work LocationUSA MI - Detroit (Non union) Additional Locations Work Shift1st Shift 8am-430pm (United States of America) BD (Becton, Dickinson And Company) Detroit MI
