As the multi-specialty group practice for the faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School, University of Minnesota Physicians has more than 950 physicians and 1,600 health professionals, providing clinical care in over 100 specialty and sub-specialty areas. Casual position. Operates computerized tomography (CT) to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.
Selects appropriate imaging techniques, operates console, and peripheral hardware. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of patient care.
This is a casual position. Shifts can be anytime during our hours of operation. Hours of operation are 6:00 AM, to 7:30 PM, M-F, and 7:00 AM, to 3:30 PM, Saturdays.
In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:
Associates degree or graduate of an accredited radiologic health science program, ARRT registered, and currently licensed RT(R) (CT): (CT) preferred or technologist will complete advanced ARRT registration in CT within one year. Remains current in new technologies as they become available.
One year of radiology experience with CT emphasis. Experience with the correct administration of contrast agents.
Ability to establish IV access proficiently and safely across a varied range of patients. Demonstration of high quality patient care and customer service skills is required.
ARRT registered RT (CT) with Siemens platform experience.
Three years of CT experience in an ambulatory care center or hospital.
