Overview

Overlook Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a full-time CT Scan Technologist working night shift including weekends and rotating on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and Provides treatments that follow State, Federal and professional standards.

  • Must be proficient in CT and diagnostic X-ray exams.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of imaging equipment and procedures. Proficient in all aspects of CT including Body, Ortho, Neuro, and PE procedures.

  • Proficient in the use of GE 64 slice VCT scanner.

  • Must be IV certified. Ability to perform daily QA.

  • Follow ALARA and image gently campaign.

  • Knowledge of tele-radiology, preferably VRAD.

  • Proficient in performing digital radiography using CR and DR systems.

  • Knowledge of EPIC a plus.

  • Demonstrates AHS PRIDE values.

  • Exceptional customer service skills a must.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited radiography program

Requirements:

  • NJ State RT License

  • ARRT CT Scan Certified

  • CPR Certified

  • IV Certified

  • Proficiency in diagnostic radiology.

  • Must be able to work on your feet for 7.5 hours per day including heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of at least 20lbs.

The shifts vary, including weekends as needed. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: The candidate selected for this position will: * Accurately interpret MR scanning protocol. * Perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal and professional standard. * Must demonstrate knowledge of MR imaging equipment: including set-up, utilization, troubleshooting and proper care for all equipment. * Abide by strict MR Safety standards; evaluate MR scans for technical quality. * Utilize EPIC and PACS to maintain schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation. * Must be IV competent and competent in preparing and administer contrast material.
