Job Shift: Shift 1

Shift Details: WK 1 Mon, Wed & Thur 7am-330p Tues 930a-6pm.

WK 2 Mon, Wed & Thur 7am-330p Saturday 4p-12a. Wk 3 Sun 4p-12a Wed 9am-33pm Thur 930a-8p & Fri 930a-6pm. Holiday & call rotating coverage.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for performing all technical aspects of Radiologic Technology exams according to department procedures and protocols. Processes requisitions and records patient information.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a JCERT accredited program for Radiologic Technologists.

Experience: No additional experience necessary beyond clinical internship. At least one (1) year of experience preferred.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Current State of Connecticut Radiographer license or, if a new graduate, pending State of Connecticut Radiographer license.

BLS within 6 months of hire. Current State of CT Radiographer licensure, ARRT (CT) and BLS certification preferred.

Language Skills Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Working knowledge of Radiologic Technology. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers.

Must be organized, flexible and a team player. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to handle multiple priorities.

Strong commitment to customer service. Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction. Requires the ability to take the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems. Requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.
