The Opportunity

Premion, a fast growing, leading "Over-the-Top" advertising and media business, seeks an experienced Sr. Sales Planning Manager to help with Sales Planning strategy in Premion's National Sales team. The position oversees a team of sales planners and assists them in the execution of media plans and proposals. The Sr. Sales Planning Manger also develops and executes inventory and pricing strategies for Premion's national sales channel. The right person for this role is a self-starter who enjoys being a team leader and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environment, wants an opportunity to make a significant impact, and jumps at the chance to take on new challenges. The role reports to the Director of Pricing & Planning.


New York City


  • Manage a team of sales planners who work collaboratively with account executives and sales assistants to plan and execute client OTT advertising needs

  • Identify process improvements that will make planners more effective and efficient in the pre-sales process

  • Propose creative campaign solutions to meet complex client advertsing needs, and train staff to do the same

  • Provide an escalation point for Regional Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers to problem solve any questions or issues

  • Strategize and build custom audience solutions that meet client needs; create, deploy, and manage 1st and 3rd parting audience segements on a Data Management Platform (DMP)

  • Key stakeholder in the decision making and analysis of CPMs and business margins through our custom quote review

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams on best in class strategic pre sales initiatives. Includes but not limited to creating and completing RFIs, RFP market research, media plans, and proposal decks

  • Develop, train, and communicate departmental and sales channel materials, resources, and tools

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field

  • 7+ years pre-sales, media planning, and or account management experience in Linear and/or Digital advertising

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • Understanding of complex request for proposal (RFP) processes and requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively solve problems

  • Exceptional organizational, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Mac and PC proficient, especially for presentation and proposal development

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Salesforce experience a significant plus but not required

  • OTT media experience is a MAJOR plus but not required
