Job Description: The Network Architect is a technical role which includes solution architecture and design engineering functions for government passive and active network infrastructures. The candidate will responsible for leading and supporting other engineering teams for all network design and engineering activities. These architectural activities will be conducted on the government's wide area networks (WAN), the local area networks (LAN), Campus Area Networks (CAN), Access and Control Interfaces (CI) and other networks that support multiple classification levels of communications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer requirements/needs into architecture solution followed by high-level/low-level design according to portfolio offering guidelines.

  • Regularly leads in the technical assessment and delivery of a specific technical architecture solution to the customer. Provides a team structure conducive to high performance, and manages the team lifecycle stages.

  • Coordinates/leads the transition/transformation from existing to new network design solutions

  • Provides technical direction and engineering expertise for network systems infrastructure activities, including planning, designing, and implementing communications and network infrastructure requirements for buildings and systems (Routers, Firewalls, DNS, IPAM, NTP, Command and Telemetry).

  • Provides advanced technical consulting and advice to others on efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions. Provides input to strategy moving forward.

  • Collects and determines data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements. Responds to requests for technical information from customers. Develops customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies.

  • Owns and manages knowledge sharing within a community (e.g. team, practice, or project). Ensures team members support knowledge sharing and re-use requirements of project. Contributes significant knowledge to job family community.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years of experience OR Masters and 4 years, Bachelors and 6 years, Associates and 8 years or HS and 10 years. Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification requirements.

Required Clearance: Active TS/SCI, with CI Poly.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 The Lead System and Design Architect position will drive technology strategy and execution for advanced technology solutions needed to address customer needs and influence current and future white papers, proposals, projects and contract modifications associated with the suite of classified activities in NS. This position will help respective Client Executives and Project Managers to shape clients' visions and strategies while also developing highly advanced/leading edge technology solutions and concepts. The successful candidate will develop and participate in technology strategy sessions with our Federal Government clients, partners and vendors, and deliver executive presentations supporting multiple service technologies (networks, IT, security, data, voice, analytics). The position will be responsible for creating National Security-specific complex designs and solutions incorporating various technologies with deep understanding of mission and classification requirements. The Lead System and Design Architect will support and integrate solutions across various areas including IP Networking, Network Management, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, cloud computing, and mobility. This position will have various responsibilities including but not limited to the development of: work breakdown structures, solutions that integrate and inter-operate, work statements to partner vendors, solution alternatives, basis of estimates, and proposal/white paper responses. Candidate needs 15+ years' experience in a solutions / enterprise architect capacity (network, large scale enterprise systems integration, IT Strategy and Management, IT Transformations, Cloud Architecture, Mobility). Candidate should possess 5+ years in a federally-focused professional services environment (government, integrator, consultant) with demonstrated skills as a technical solutions architecture and an understanding of the federal government business development and sales cycles. Candidate must demonstrate 4+ years' experience in technology leadership roles and supervising other technologists to include large government contracting implementations. The successful candidate will demonstrate appropriate experience in infrastructure/application architecture, design of complex distributed systems environments, knowledge of security solutions including cloud-based security models, and demonstrated understanding of information security policies, standards, industry best practices, and frameworks. The successful candidate will also demonstrate depth and understanding of the national security organizations, requirements, priorities, and constraints. A BS in computer science, systems engineering, mathematics, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline is required. Advance degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline is desired. Technical and professional certifications (e.g., CCIE, CISSP, DoD8570, etc.) are desired.
