This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package.

The purpose of the Food Distribution Assistant position is to assist Latino Network Food Pantry Workers distribute pantry ingredients to families.

Hours of availability include: Wednesdays afternoons starting late September/early October to end of April (start times vary).

Location: 9325 N Van Houten Ave, Portland, OR 97203

Core Duties

• Responsible for supporting weekly food distribution activities including but not limited to:

• Setting up table of ingredients

• Greeting and offering choice of ingredients available to families

• Setting down operations

• General support as needed

• Tasks very based on hours and days worked

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have Federal Work Study fund in Financial Aid Package (contact finaid@up.edu with questions)
• Assistants must complete a volunteer background check with Portland Public Schools before their first day (https://www.pps.net/Page/149).
