RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the running of the project in a safety capacity: ensuring we are following safe procedures and keeping everyone out of harm's way.

  • Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across the project, functions, and locations (areas and segments).

  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems, and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.

  • Making sure project follows safety specifications mandated by contract, state, and federal agencies.

  • Making sure work environment is safe environment for all employees.

  • Effectively develop and apply the core skills to the job.

  • Assists or gives safety training for individuals on site.

  • Meets expectations on attendance and punctuality.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 7 years EHS work experience, with 5 years in similar industry.

  • Must Have Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)

  • 24-hours formal safety training in past 5 years.

  • Bilingual Speaker (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

  • Ability to interact professionally with employees and clients of various levels.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Understanding of OSHA regulations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
