Job Summary

The Clinical Services Associate (CSA) assists and works directly with physicians and other health professionals in the outpatient clinics. The CSA will assist patient preparation during the clinic visit while ensuring clinic hours run smoothly without delays or issues.

The CSA will enter data into the EMR that is required for the patient visit. The CSA is expected to work collaboratively with other hospital staff and technicians as required and perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

  • Patient Care including but not limited to escorting patients from waiting area to exam rooms. Obtaining patient height, weight and vitals.

    Document patient information into EMR as appropriate. Obtain and electronically store any imaging.

  • Maintain patient exam rooms. Clean rooms after each patient, removing any instruments or materials.

  • Replace exam table paper. Restock rooms and other supplies as needed.

  • Transports cultures to the lab and specimens to pathology.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations


Required Education and Experience

Required Education: High School/GED. Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant Program.

Required Experience: One year of experience as an MA in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Experience: One year of experience as an MA in pediatrics. Experience with specialty specific terminology preferred.

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to maintain composure when faced with stressful situations.
