Position Description

Responsible for responding to customer inquiries, providing support throughout their shopping experience including promoting customer loyalty plans and/or extended protection/replacement plans, processing sales and returns using a cash register, and addressing customer complaints.

Job Requirements

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
6 months experience using a handheld device (e.g., mobile phone, LRT gun, palm pilot, tablet, iPod) to enter, access, and output information.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Business, Retail Management, Specialty related to department (e.g., design, appliances), or related field.
6 months experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
6 months retail experience.
6 months experience as a cashier.

This Tier 1 Service Desk Analyst position can be located in any of our Canadian or U.S. offices. Your Key Responsibilities * We require an IT professional with proven customer service skills who can work in a dynamic and challenging service desk environment to provide quality support to our internal clients. * Provide front-line IT support by phone and chat for English, French, and Spanish speaking customers. * Working in a team environment, you will analyze, resolve and document problems related to Stantec's IT infrastructure and core applications. Your Capabilities and Credentials * Must be fluent in written and conversational English, French and Spanish. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will be required in addition to well-developed problem solving and troubleshooting skills. * The successful candidate will possess the ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking environment. * A strong knowledge of diverse hardware, software and operating systems with an interest in and taking the initiative to keep current with same. * Working knowledge of database concepts and tools will also be keys to your success. * Preference will be given to candidates that have related experience with Oracle Financials.
