BASIC PURPOSE:

Responsible for providing our travel agents and their guests with a seamless booking experience and exceptional customer service. The position serves as the "voice" of Regent Seven Seas Cruises and is the first point of contact for travel agents. Build relationships by answering incoming calls, identify the callers' needs, and sell the Regent experience that best fits the clients needs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Building rapport and long-term relationships with luxury cruise customers, travel agents and other partners.

Using travel product expertise and knowledge of luxury destinations around the world, recommend and sell Regent Seven Seas cruise products and services to travel agents and their clients.

Provide a seamless cruise and customer service experience, from the initial sales call to confirming the reservation and servicing that reservation up until the cruise begins.

Create and document special requests, services and cruise "add on" purchases requested by the customer or travel agent.

Maximize revenue opportunities by selling the full experience from suite upgrades, insurance policies, hotels, shore excursions, and gift items.

Escalate all issues and pertinent matters to the appropriate resource to ensure resolution.

Perform other job related functions as assigned.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Four year college degree preferred (Business Administration or related field of study) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year of sales experience required. Telephone or Travel Sales preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Assertive sales skills and the desire to grow within the organization.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to include professional telephone etiquette, email, and letter writing with correct spelling and grammar. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with travel reservations systems.

Ability to develop and maintain professional relations with a diverse, well-traveled, customer who typically is a professional, business owner, or successfully-retired executive and his/her family and friends or travel agent. Ability to quickly learn and maintain knowledge of Regent products, services, and promotions. Ability to work well and maintain professional composure while under stress and pressure. Possess a strong drive and high energy to reach specified sales and service goals.

Provide consistent consultative telephone support to travel partners and direct guests in a positive, knowledgeable, and professional manner. Assist and support other departments and fellow team members in reaching Oceania Cruises service, productivity, quality, and revenue goals. Follow-up on available leads and ultimately close all potential sales opportunities. Help with projects as requested by the Call Center management team. Participate in organized and self-study training sessions, including weekly briefings, to continuously improve knowledge base and sales performance. Perform other job related functions as assigned. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years call center or related travel industry experience. Working knowledge of reservation system within a call center environment preferred. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Practical understanding of applicable cruise product, policies and procedures, in order to reserve new and service existing reservations. Strong computer skills, including use of all Microsoft Office products. Exhibit positive pleasant and courteous behavior, as expected within the Quality assurance practices while engaging internal and external customers. Interpersonal skills to engage all levels within the organization and external customers. This is to be carried out in person, over the phone or via Microsoft email or instant messaging. Ability to deliver the level of customer service required to achieve a positive customer experience. Ability to remain focused during every customer engagement to heighten the level of overall accuracy and customer satisfaction. Demonstrate an ongoing effort to secure reservations by requesting to reserve a new booking on all rate quotes. Maximize revenue opportunities by offering additional products. Ability to utilize verbal and written communication skills to communicate with internal and external customers. This includes sending and responding to email via Microsoft Outlook. Within reasonable accommodation, ability to view and read PC monitor, training and reference material, as well as operate keyboard and PC mouse.
