Primary Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for scheduling oil movements on various

Energy Transfer Crude Oil Pipelines.

  • Accountable for issuing daily scheduling orders to ControlCenter, Field Personnel, Terminal Operators and Customers in a timely andaccurate fashion.

  • Ensure that scheduling orders reflect close coordination ofreceipts, and inventories which ensures ratability of deliveries to customers.

  • In charge of receiving, analyzing, and determining acceptance ofshipper nominations by working closely with the Monthly Pipeline Scheduler.

  • Works closely with Shippers, Operation Coordinators, Pipeline Controllers,Engineers and Field Personnel to coordinate events in pipeline activity thataffect the movement of product.

  • Communicate system capabilities and deficiencies each month tovarious groups.

  • Provide analytical support when necessary to Product Movement,Business Development, and other departments on projects for continuousimprovement and business growth.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in crude oil and/orproduct pipeline movements.

  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), and goodinterpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skillsrequired

  • Must be extremely flexible and able to adapt quickly to changesresulting from pipeline interruptions or refinery changes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skillsrequired.

  • Proficiency using PC applications, specifically Excel

  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in productmovements in the pipeline industry or related fields.

  • Industry experience is preferred however not required.

  • Must have strong customer focus, leadership skills, be teamorientated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Considerations

Excellent communication, planning, andcoordination skills are required in this position in order to effectivelyhandle the coordination of shipper/customer requests; shipping and/or deliverywindows; hydraulic & power considerations; line work and/or othermaintenance issues.

  • Responsible for providing 24-hr on-call support for area ofresponsibility including weekends and holidays.

Requisition ID#396336 Overview: The Analyst will partner with other business units and/or departments to identify and facilitate analytical process improvements. The Analyst will work closely and coordinate with trading, operations, accounting, risk control and other global trading offices to manage and analyze Crude Supply and Trading (CSAT) Americas Profit & Loss (P&L) and exposure, as well as provide support for the monthly portfolio review. The Business Analyst will also participate in multi-functional project groups on new business and process initiatives. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: * Performs analysis of Chevron's Crude Oil Supply and Trading (CSAT) business * Understands, manages, and explains Profit & Loss (P&L), Physical and Financial Exposure, Mark-to-Market (MTM) P&L * Monitors business unit compliance performance to make recommendations on next steps * Support the development of the CSAT Business Plan * Back-up support for other CSAT Trading Analysts Required Qualifications: * Experience - A minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy industry, preferably in Trading * Analytical, Problem Solving and Data Gathering - Ability to organize and analyze data related to trading positions, MTM P&L, accounting earnings. Investigate variances and guide the team towards a solution. High level of Excel proficiency. Collects, organizes and analyzes relevant data on customers and market conditions to make informed business decisions. Gathers and synthesizes market information to assess trading strategy. * Financial Acumen - Understands financial concepts and their application in the trading environment. Able to effectively provide a bridge between the operating and the Finance organizations. Familiar with the business planning process. * Communication - Comfortable and effective at dealing with a diverse group of customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective at conducting meetings, presenting rationale in a clear and organized manner while ensuring understanding of complex issues. Effective at communicating with all levels of management while directing discussions toward a conclusion. * Multi-Tasking, Ability to Prioritize and Results Driven - Prioritizes work flow and manages multiple stakeholders and or-issues. Ability to independently identify an opportunity, facilitate a solution, and get results based on the findings and conclusions drawn from analytical work.
