Assist in designing and maintaining high quality digital experiences using Design Thinking and Lean UX process and principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and maintaining high quality digital experiences using Design Thinking process

  • Assist in developing prototypes for iterative design testing

  • Assist in planning and executing user testing / usability (remote and in person).

  • Help organize and drive UX design workshops.

  • Collaborate with developers in a SCRUM environment on a day-to-day basis.

  • Assist in authoring and editing video content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered. High School Diploma required.

  • Minimum 6 months' relevant work experience as an intern or consultant in the area of UX design required.

  • Experience with sketching, concept creation, wireframing, producing sitemaps, user flows, creating prototypes.

  • Experience using UX design and prototyping software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Axure, Omnigraffle, Invision, Balsamiq, etc.). Bonus for experience in motion design or front-end coding.

  • Experience within an agile development environment.

  • Knowledge of corporate branding, layout, color theory, typography, design research, usability, visual design.

  • Ability to develop user empathy and advocate for the user, understanding the user's behavior, attitudes and emotions.

  • Ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography and color effectively.

  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage tasks.

  • Possess a strong passion for UX and/or Design Thinking practices.

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in oral and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Usual office setting.
