CRT Mechanic

Job Description

This CRT Mechanic performs maintenance, repairs, and prepares casing running tools, torque subs, and torque turn equipment for field operations, liaising with various equipment OEMs when needed.

Essential functions

• Must have the ability and knowledge to dress and undress casing running tools (Tesco, Top-Tek, and Volant, preferred).

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Observe maintenance procedures and keep all tools and shop equipment in good working condition.

• Must be able to operate a bucking machine to make/break connections.

• Must have the ability and knowledge to interpret torque turn graphs.

• Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment including torque turn computer systems, torque subs, and CRTs.

• Troubleshoot and repair torque turn computer systems, torque subs, and CRTs.

• Complete and maintain appropriate repair and maintenance documentation as needed.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Load and unload trucks, either manually or using a forklift.

• Conduct a daily JSA and report any safety concerns observed.

• Available on a 24-hour basis to respond to customer needs.

• Adhere to safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system. Including: a) Active participation in workshop safety & tool box meetings. b) Active participation and contribution to workshop specific safety initiatives. c) Report all hazards and unsafe acts. d) Ensure third party compliance. e) Actively promote positive safety culture.
