Summary:

The Cross Builder 1 is responsible for the proper training of operational procedures and safety functions to all plant associates per company standards, policies, and procedures. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and the capability of working in a team environment are necessary for this position. The Cross Builder 1 will report to Production Manager and fill in on an as needed basis in the absence of other Team Members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures all new hire plant associates are properly trained to complete assigned tasks for all areas listed. Helps current Team Members with career advancement.

• Wall Builder 1 and 2 as listed in the job description including.

• Wall Line Stacker

• Wall Line Nail Bridge Operator

• Wall Line R.O. Sawyer

• Truss Builder 1/Sawyer 1 as listed in the job description including.

• Truss Line Stacker

• Truss Plate Puller

• Truss Sawyer Component Stacker

• Truss Builder 2/Sawyer 2 as listed in the job description including.

• Spida Apollo Saw Operator

• Hundegger Component Operator 2

• Performs forklift certification training for plant, yard, and warehouse associates.

• Must have the ability to fill and maintain at production rate all the above listed positions.

• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.

Qualifications and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Full time for 2-3 years minimum

• Certified Forklift Operator as per company guidelines.

• Must have completed training and testing for a Wall Builder 1-3 and be able to complete all tasks as listed in the Job Descriptions

• Must have completed training and testing for a Truss Builder/Sawyer 1-3

• Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction.

• Knowledge of component manufacturing process used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction.

• Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work.

• Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline.

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Communicates effectively with team members.

• Experience in production manufacturing preferred

• Ability to bend, twist and move in various direction.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
