Implement and promote the strategy for the delivery of Canada-U.S. Cross-border and International Tax Consulting Services to the Bank's Wealth Management's high and ultra-high net worth client segments.
Participate in the development of technical content and lead Wealth Management's educational and training programs for Bank Advisors, specifically relating to Cross-border and International Tax Consulting Services.
Provide commentary and awareness on emerging cross-border and international tax planning trends, as well as new relevant legislation, to advisors and their clients through articles and advanced planning solutions.
Maintain and develop relationships with external tax and legal professionals and firms and act as liaison to coordinate and refer clients to external professionals. Provide insight and share expertise with team members for taxation concepts and other complex wealth services offerings.
Act as a member of a client strategy team to facilitate the desired client experience and to achieve business goals. Provide proactive, integrated, and customized guidance and create and implement wealth planning strategies to help clients achieve financial and personal goals.
Partner with all members of Wealth Management to provide a broad-based solutions approach for specific client situations.
Consult with clients and their external advisors on complex tax issues. Act as internal subject matter expert spokesperson on cross-border and international taxation both internally and externally to position the Bank as a leader in wealth planning services.
Providing complex wealth planning services and advice to high net worth and ultra-high net worth private clients using knowledge of Canadian, U.S. and International tax and legal systems, including guidance with respect to Canadian, U.S. and International tax issues (5 years).
Providing guidance on complex philanthropy, business succession, U.S. Estate and Gift Tax issues; and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Bar Association designation.
