Business Development Job Description The External Business Development Lead/Head of Business Development is responsible for the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing for growing, established CRO. Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Employee performs all, part, and/or any combination of the duties listed below. Actively prospect and generate new sales and business opportunities in support of Lotus' corporate objectives Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with customers and develop in-depth knowledge of their organization and needs Achieve organizational sales targets Collaborate with the internal business development team in development and delivery of proposals Establish and maintain frequent contact with customers through focused client visits and presentations Support the development and delivery of marketing and advertising initiatives when necessary Drive daily customer engagement through in-person meetings, online, phone calls and email Maintain contacts with appropriate sales activity data within Lotus' CRM Perform general strategic and tactical account planning, management, and execution Possess strong and effective presentation skills; ability to convincingly present features and benefits of Lotus services to clients Attend industry events, set up meetings and follow up with potential clients Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree 7 years of previous experience in sales and/or CRO Operations or 7 years' experience in CRO sales and/or CRO Operations Must be reliable, highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented, customer-focused, and possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Self-starter and team player with the ability to work in a smaller company as well as a dynamic and nimble environment Enjoy working in an entrepreneurial culture that requires rapid response and the ability to make timely, sound decisions Strategic thinker with the ability to develop actionable plans and execute initiatives to achieve organizational goals Results-driven mindset Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce An established network of industry contacts (preferred). Skills and/or Abilities Strong Microsoft Office skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective time management and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work effectively and efficiently handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to facilitate a teamwork philosophy with a positive attitude.
