We currently are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced PRN 1099 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team and support our expanding sedation program at our Lady Lake and Winter Park ASCs

Working under the guidance of our world-renowned physicians, our CRNAs deliver high quality anesthesia and pain care services to patients before, during, and after various pain management procedures.

Additionally, CRNA's will:

  • Perform and document the pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient.

  • Review laboratory/diagnostic studies.

  • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services.

  • Select, obtain, order, and administer pre-anesthetic medication or treatment.

  • Select, obtain, prepare, and use equipment, invasive and non-invasive monitors, supplies, and drugs for the administration of sedation, and anesthesia services; perform safety checks as needed.

  • Select, order, obtain, and administer analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, or blood products necessary to provide anesthesia services.

  • Perform all aspects of airway management, including fiber optic intubation.

  • Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, and selecting, ordering, and administering medications, fluids, and ventilator support to maintain patient stability during transfer.

  • Evaluate patient response to anesthesia and surgery; take appropriate corrective action during the post-anesthesia period.

  • Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care and discharge patients from the post-anesthesia care unit.

  • Implement acute and chronic pain management modalities.

  • Manage emergency situations by assessing, stabilizing, and determining disposition of patients, including providing airway management, administration of emergency drugs and fluids, and using basic and advanced cardiac life support techniques.

Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice, and compliance with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.

  • A master's degree from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

  • Current certification by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists/current recertification by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.

  • Ability to be insured by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.

  • The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

  • A satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, social security, and OIG exclusions.
