Phoenix Staff is known for connecting highly qualified candidates with highly desirable jobs. We are currently looking to place a Sr. Developer. In this role, you will work independently and be responsible for developing and deploying integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating and coordinating the applications within and across a higher learning institution. You must have CRM, strong .NET skills in patterns/practices (dependency injection and inversion of control), and .NET 4.7, TFS, GIT, and solution architect.

Your role:

  • Collaborates with developers, project managers, business analysts and others in conceptualizing and developing the technical design of custom applications, and ensures technical design and applications satisfy business needs

  • Gauges the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and ensures the Universitys suite of applications is scalable, reliable, available and manageable; develops and implements strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems

  • Responsible for design to ensure that target applications in a technical architecture meet non-functional requirements

  • In collaboration with internal users, departments or development teams, defines, develops and documents applications business requirements, objectives, deliverables and specifications on a project-by-project basis as well as developing project estimates; responsible for capacity planning and hardware sizing

  • Establishes product roadmaps and schedules with input from business groups, business analysts and the development team; creates models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to development teams

  • Defines and follows best practices for application coding and design

  • Works with graphic designers to deliver visually appealing cross-browser interfaces

  • Defines test cases, metrics and resolution guidelines and performs in-depth tests including end-user reviews

  • Mentors team members in software and application development

  • Ensures projects are delivered or deployed on budget, in scope and on schedule

  • Maintains current knowledge of the latest web and platform technologies and security practices

What youve got:

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline (computer science, information technology, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution

  • 5 years work experience in software design and implementation for large projects; experience should include mentoring less experienced technical staff

  • An equivalent combination of directly-related work experience and education may be substituted upon supervisors approval

  • High level technical expertise combined with excellent planning, coordination and communications skills as well as the ability to effectively work on teams

  • Proven experience in overseeing the successful design, development and implementation of software systems, applications and related products

  • In-depth technical knowledge of current software protocols, business platforms, middleware, internet standards, and database software

  • Skilled with AJAX/JSON and related frameworks and C#/C++

  • Internet Information Server, Component Services and Index Server, SQL Server (stored procedures constraints and triggers)

  • Visual Studio.NET using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) using VBScript and ActiveX Data Objects, Visual Studio 6.0, XML, HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, ODBC and Microsoft Office

  • MCSD.NET, MCAD.NET, MCSE, MCPD certifications are preferred but not required

  • Nice to haves are .Net Core/Standard, some cloud exposure

  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

  • Familiarity with project management techniques including planning, organizing, time management and financial management

  • Highly self motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail and willingness to assume responsibility

  • Ability to interpret complex technical information

  • Must pass background investigation

This is a key project and customer facing role, responsible for delivering complete technical solutions for the customer by leveraging a systematic process of requirements gathering, mapping business requirements to technical requirements and ultimately the overall design of the customer solution. You will work with other SugarCRM PS roles (Project Manager, Business Analysts, Developers), with product management, engineering, sales and account management in ensuring customer success.
