This position is a Full-time Night position on our Enterprise Support Team (WEST) and this opportunity offers PREMIUM PAY and a comprehensive benefits package. The selected Registered Nurse will be given the opportunity for flexible self-scheduling while working in an assigned region. In this region, this position would float to Hospitals in our northwest region including Cobb, Kennestone, Douglas, Paulding and Windy Hill.

Responsibilities

Our RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Leadership Model.

The framework for practice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education, Licensure/Certification and Experience for this position:

  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred; National certification in area of specialty is also preferred.

  • Current and active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia. Must have current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment.

  • This position requires 3 years of current Critical Care nursing experience in an Acute Care facility.

Responsibilities WellStar Windy Hill Hospital is currently seeking a Part time Nursing Assistant for day shift. The Care Partner (CP) is a support care provider who functions under the direction of the clinical nurse (Registered Professional Nurse). The CP primary focus will be to promote a positive patient experience by partnering with the patient, family and other health care providers to provide excellence in customer service and assistance with daily living activities and comfort measures. The CP assists other health care providers with safe, age appropriate and culturally aware care by performing basic patient care functions; i.e. ADLs, ambulation, vital signs, approved advanced technical procedures; i.e. phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, and discontinuing Foley catheters; transporting supplies/equipment/patient medications. May be required to support clinical care by performing clerical functions including computer order entry, retrieval of data, maintaining unit supplies, transporting supplies / equipment/patient medications, preparing and maintaining patient charts, providing customer service and acting as the central communication source on the nursing unit and other activities as necessary. The CP must be able to work in a fast paced environment which requires multi-tasking activities and ongoing communication with the registered nurse. Must be able to perform under stressful conditions with a compassionate, respectful and helpful manner. Must be able to take direction from a variety of care providers. Must be organized with excellent communication skills. QualificationsRequired Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent from accredited program required Required Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months clinical experience in acute care setting, long-term care facility, physician office/clinic, or other direct clinical patient care experience or minimum one (1) semester clinical in an Associate or Baccalaureate degree nursing program. One year experience and/or certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Ability to enter information into an electronic medical record. Basic medical terminology required.Required Minimum CertificationMust have a valid/current BLS card from the American Heart Association by the first day of employment. Required SkillAbility to read, write and speak the English language; Basic computer skills required; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability to collaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care; Ability to multi-task essential; Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential; Strong detail orientation required; Computer skills required; Personal time management skills are required.
