Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale has been a respected leader in healthcare since its founding in 1938. As Broward Health's flagship hospital, Broward Health Medical Center offers 716 beds and is home to virtually every medical specialty, including cardiac care, maternity, neonatology, pediatrics and comprehensive stroke care. Additional services include cancer care, kidney and lung transplant, orthopaedics, palliative care, robotics, sickle cell, surgical weight loss, a Level I trauma center and an on-site fitness center.

Full Time Eligible 72 Hours per pay period. Varied nights per week 7am-7:30pm.

Weekend required.

Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing. Current State of Florida Registered Nurse license required.

Current BLS and ACLS cards from American Heart Association required. Three years of Critical Care RN experience in a Hospital Acute Care setting required. Willingness to float to all Critical care, Telemetry and Stepdown units.

Computer skills necessary, excellent communication teamwork and customer service skills a must. Self-directed independent and ability to think critically as well as team player. The professional registered nurse is accountable to plan, coordinate, provide, intervene and evaluate the care of assigned patients based upon the treatment plan, nursing standards, nurse practice act and individual patient needs. Each professional registered nurse participates with the inter-disciplinary team to establish an individualized plan of care for each patient.

VIEW JOBS 6/18/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-09-16T00:00 The Performance Improvement Supervisor is responsible and accountable for providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior quality, Memorable Patient/Customer Experiences, and Financial Stewardship Ensuring the appropriateness of services, orientation of new associates, education of staff, field supervision of associates, and supervision of direct reports LPNs, CNA/HHA, and PT/OT Assistants. Primary Accountabilities * Reviews appropriateness of services with every referral and randomly reviews the Admission/Recert Plan of Care. * Performs in home supervisory visits for all clinical associates annually and as needed throughout the year, and submits report to Director of Clinical Operations/Nurse Manager. * Evaluates staff workload and assigns referrals as indicated. * Coordination of patient care during their service by facilitating communication between physician, insurance companies, pharmacies, staff and other ancillary services. * Complies with State and Federal Regulations, JCAHO standards reference delivery of Home Care services. * Assists with Telehealth Program for staff education, clinical assessments, implementation and patient management in a triage role. * Performs concurrent and retrospective clinical record reviews ensuring that all services and outcomes are documented and that documentation follows the Plan of Care. * Ensures that HHA/CNA attend 12 in-service education programs annually. * Ensures competencies and evaluations in Clinical Staff. * Rotates Weekend/Holiday Administrator On Call * Coordinates case management with insurance company representatives to ensure eligibility for services, pre-authorization of care, and ongoing authorization of care as required by insurance company to facilitate payment of claims. * Educates staff in ensuring appropriate utilization of visits and services for care ordered. * Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing, BSN preferred. * Minimum of 1-year Home Health Nursing experience. Two years acute care experience as a RN. * Knowledge of Medicare/JCAHO Regulations. * Criminal History Screening. * Typing/Computer skills. * Current Florida Drivers License, automobile insurance and reliable transportation. * Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start and maintain. * Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
